No. Our marble effect tops are porcelain. They carry the colour and veining of marble, and because porcelain is dense and non-porous, they resist the stains, etching and scratches that real marble is prone to.

Will a marble effect table stain?

Porcelain is non-porous, so red wine, coffee, oil and lemon juice sit on the surface instead of soaking in. Wipe spills up as you normally would and the top stays as it arrived.

Can I put hot dishes on it?

It copes with heat far better than real marble or wood. To protect the finish, we still recommend trivets or heat mats under very hot pans, as our care guide explains.

Do you make round and oval marble effect dining tables?

Yes. Choose round, oval, rectangle, capsule, oblong or square in the configurator, in any of our marble looks. Round tops sit on our Linea Dome pedestal base.
